Funding at Little Monkeys
We are proud to be in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council. From the term after your child’s third birthday, you are entitled to receive up to 1140 hours of funded childcare and education per year, pro rata and at no cost to you. At Little Monkeys, this is delivered using a 51-week model.
51-Week Funding Model

22.35 funded hours per week across 51 weeks.

Any regular sessions beyond the two funded 10-hour days will be charged at our standard rate.
Funded sessions are provided at no cost to you, and Little Monkeys will absorb the cost of all evening meals and snacks during these sessions.
Nursery Fees
Fees are nursery-specific and are available upon request.
What Extras Are Included at Little Monkeys?
At Little Monkeys, we believe in extending learning beyond the nursery walls and into the natural world around us. All our nurseries offer a weekly Forest School programme called Nature Explorers, where our preschool children spend time outdoors exploring their local environment.
Activities include:

Learning about local ecosystems

Digging for bugs and using natural resources

Creating art and engaging in imaginative play
We aim to foster a love for the outdoors and build deep nature connections. These experiences are child-led and tailored to each child’s interests and needs.
Through Nature Explorers, children develop confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and creativity in a safe, nurturing community that values every individual.
What Do Our Fees Include?
Our fees are all-inclusive of the essentials your child needs each day:

Three nutritious meals and daily snacks, all cooked on-site by our dedicated kitchen team

Catering for all dietary requirements and allergies, following national nutrition guidance (Setting the Table) which you can click below.

Nappies, wipes, and nappy creams

Suncream during summer months

Individual bedding for nap times, stored hygienically and laundered regularly
Paying Your Fees
Fees are due in advance, and we kindly ask that payments are made on or before the 1st of each month. Please note that some payment methods may take up to 3 days to process.

We do not accept credit or debit card payments.
